​Zucchini is a fun story about a girl and her desire to keep the excitement of winter around all year. My children (seven, four, and two) stayed engaged in the story while I read, and it's an easy enough read for my oldest daughter (a first grader) to read independently or to her siblings. Well done!

I love this book! It is appropriate for discussing children's dreams and aspirations for the future. The glossary is a nice bonus as well. I also enjoyed the diversity of characters. The book makes me think of my dreams I had/have as a child.
